Paco Rabanne Fall/Winter 2020 Paris Fashion Week

The protagonist of the Fall/Winter collection by Paco Rabanne is an historic, multi-ethnic woman. Julien Dossena chose the "conciergerie" as the location for her collection, the place where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned before going to the guillotine. And that’s where they paraded clothes absolutely fascinating, rich in history and multi-ethnic. Different women, women proud of their culture, women who are not ashamed of who they are and what they have been. The Middle Ages, the 18th century, the Indian culture, the clergy style and the magnificent compositions in metallic knitted gold and silver were the absolute and undisputed protagonists of this significant season of the Spanish brand. The basic message? The purpose? Well Julien Dossena wanted to rework and reinterpret symbols and art of the past and project them into the future. Because there, in the past time, in the dust of what we have been and always will be, you can find and learn the sense of beauty, our beauty, that of the human.
